ABOUT US

The Home Builders Association of Greater Southwest Illinois (HBA) is a professional organization of more than 250 builders, developers, remodeling contractors, specialty trade contractors, and associate members. In order to assist the consumer in new home purchase or home improvement decisions, the HBA provides information about the building process, materials, and techniques, as well as a referral list of established professionals in the home building industry. The builders, remodelers, and developers in the HBA agree to abide by our Code of Ethics, to use accepted professional and business practices, and to meet or exceed local, state and federal standards and regulations.

History
Home builders have had a professional organization in our area since at least 1887. Today, the local HBA is the primary source of education, information, professional development, and networking for those involved in the home building industry in greater Southwest Illinois. We are affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders, the Home Builders Associate of Illinois, and over 800 local chapters across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
