Despite the economy, attendance at the 2009 show was outstanding and is expected to increase even more for the upcoming event. “People are more interested than ever in remodeling, restoring and renewing their homes,” Riedle adds. “Our Home Improvement show is the ideal place to learn more about all the latest products and services that are available from outstanding Metro-East contractors, suppliers and professional companies.”

Over 225 booths will feature everything from state-of-the-art kitchens to window treatments, spas, landscaping and home additions. The 2010 show will add some new attractions, including a complimentary wine-tasting area by Hidden Lake Winery in Aviston, IL, and a Kids Corner with face painting and balloon artists, on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The Kids Corner activities are free to children under 12 years old, thanks to sponsor R.P. Lumber. Due to popular demand, the “Line Guy” will be returning with his electrical show, also on both Saturday and Sunday. In addition, area high school students will construct storage sheds and display them at the show. Those attending will have the opportunity to bid on the sheds, which will be delivered to the purchasers’ homes.

Again in 2010, buy-one, get-one coupons will be available for admission tickets, making the show the most economical and exciting way for people to learn about everything available for improving their homes.  The Metro-East Home Improvement Show is produced by the Home Builders Association of Greater Southwest Illinois and sponsored by FCB Banks/Firstco Mortgage, Helitech-Waterproofing & Structural Repair, and P & A Drywall Supply.

The Metro-East Home Show will be held at the Belle-Clair Fairgrounds and Exposition Center off Route 13 and Route 159 in Belleville.
